We have reasons to congratulate ourselves for the new edition of "The Olive Growing Revolution" in English.
This edition is the English translation of the "La Revolución del Olivar", the only book talking about the Super High Density System of the Olive tree, wrote by two of our Agronomical Engineers, Xavier Rius and Jose M. Lacarte.

SUPER high-density olive plantings have been touted as the answer to a tough oil market.
Australia's exchange rate combined with a weak European economy has resulted in sluggish olive oil prices down to $2.70/kg.
Any price recovery is expected to be delayed by another bumper European harvest this spring.
High-density plantings, using low-cost wine industry machinery, may be the answer, corporate finance specialist Angel Barrio said.

On behalf of the Directors of the AOA I would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended the National Olive Industry Conference and Trade Exhibition in Wangaratta Victoria. By all accounts it was a great success. The exhibitor area was full and the displays looked excellent. Thank you to our major conference sponsors RIRDC and Amenduni. We will have a whole range of photos available in our new Year Book which we hope to have out soon.
